Celebrate the Freedom to Read and Read a Banned Book

 

Started 30 years ago,  Banned Books Week is promoted and celebrated by librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers to draw attention to the harm done by censorship. For a list of books that have been challenged from 2004 through 2011, click on this link.  All the books featured in this pdf, have been targeted for removal or restrictions in libraries and schools.  You will probably be surprised to see many of your favorites on the list.   Below are a few books cited.  All are download only.
